Description

This trail junction is the lowest in the Powell Butte area. Two trail head up the mountain only feet apart. They both lead to the summit area. The Wild Hawthorn Trail is open to horses and hikers. The Pioneer Orchard trail is open to bicyclists and hikers.

Just north of here on the Blacktail Trail is the Ellis Street Trailhead. Just to the south is the Springwater Corridor, a 40+ mile rail to trail, paved bicycle path.
