Description

This viewpoint is near the top of one of largest salt spray meadows on the Oregon Coast. Common wildlife here include elk, deer, numerous kinds of birds and several kinds of butterflies including the endangered Oregon Silverspot. Plantlife includes the endangered Cascade Head Catchfly and the quite rare Hairy Checkermallow.

The views from here are incredible. To the south and west are beautiful looks at the Pacific Ocean, including a long wave swept beach directly south. To the southeast, you'll see the Salmon River Estuary, on of the view remaining saltwater marshes in Oregon.
