Description

Hidden Lake is a small lake on the southwest side of Mount Hood near the Pacific Crest Trail (which is also the Timberline Trail through this section) about 1.3 miles from Timberline Lodge.

While there are no views of Mount Hood from the lake, it is a tranquil setting. Look for salamanders in the cold, clear shallow water, and dragonflies performing their summertime rituals as they skim across the lake's surface. Mosquitoes can be bad in late spring and early summer. There is a campsite near the lake.

The Hidden Lake Trail goes across the outlet stream of the lake, on the way up to the Timberline Trail, west of Timberline Lodge.
