Description

At over 6,500 feet, Lookout Mountain is much higher than most of the smaller peaks that surround Mount Hood. The added elevation brings broad meadows, expansive views, alpine wildflowers and ancient whitebark pines to the scene. The view of Mount Hood, just seven miles to the west, is from a unique perspective that gives reveals the massive bulk of the mountain.
