Description

A popular destination is this viewpoint below McNeil Point. Above here the crowds start thinning out.

You get great views of Mount Hood, the Sandy River valley, Yocum Ridge across the valley, and down the valley to the west towards Portland.

It's 2.7 miles following the recommended route across Bald Mountain or 2.1 miles if you go directly.

See Yocum End for a view down to here from Yocum Ridge.
