Description

There's an rarely noticed trail that head north from here to Wauneka Point. It might just be that it's a long way from a road, but Wauneka Point Trail #429 seems to have been missed by the guidebook crowd. The junction can be difficult to find as the USGS topo map location for the branch off Moffett Creek trail is incorrect. It is hardly noticeable from the main trail as the unsigned junction is in a thicket of rhododendron bushes. From the trip report below is the lat/lon coordinates of the junction suitable for GPS:
