Hike Description
This is a short hike, but it has quite a bit of elevation gain. It's often done to complete the tour of Silver Falls State Park, after hikers have finished the Silver Falls Lower Loop Hike.
From the North Falls Trailhead, cross the bridge and follow the Canyon Trail straight ahead at the first trail junction. At the second junction, signed for the Rim Trail or Canyon Trail, take the right fork, stay on the Canyon Trail and start down the stairs. You'll soon be greeted with great views of North Falls. The farther down you go, the larger the waterfall seems. At the bottom, there's a huge cave like grotto behind the waterfall. Relax, have a bite and enjoy the majestic setting.
Avoid thinking about those stairs. They'll only depress you.
