Description

The 148th Avenue Trail provides a shortcut for people entering Powell Butte Nature Preserve from the north side. The trail switchbacks steeply up the hill for 1/4 mile from the 148th Avenue Trailhead to the Old Holgate Trail.

The Old Holgate Trail is an abandoned road. Proof of this fact lies just below this trail junction, where sharp eyes will notice the decaying remains of an automobile.
