Description

The Tamanous Trail #27 forms a great shortcut for people hiking north on the Crest Trail. Hikers starting at Bonneville Trailhead save about 3/4 of a mile of hiking and get a larger parking lot to boot.

Ta-mah-no-ous is a Native American word translated roughly as "vision quest". Young men proved their readiness to be adults by going on a search for guardian spirits.
