Description
Seven and a Half Mile Camp is the last campsite the Eagle Creek Trail before it starts gaining elevation on the long stretch up to Wahtum Lake.
There are a couple campsites near the trail, then there are a number of side trails going a short distance to campsites near Eagle Creek. After the last campsite, the trail crosses a couple streams that would be good for drinking water. There's a difficult scramble down a bank to Eagle Creek for drinking water so it's better to get it out of these streams.
There's at least six different campsites, which may all be full during summer weekends.
At this point on the Eagle Creek trail, campfires are allowed, but discouraged.
