Description

This is the location of the infamous scramble sign. This is no maintained trail to the top of Tanner Butte, although old Forest Service records mention "Tanner View Trail #401C" in this general area. The sign pretty much says it all. It's not much of a scramble from here, as a fairly well trodden footpath winds steeply uphill to the sub-alpine meadow atop Tanner Butte.
