The Tilly Jane Trailhead is located near the historic Tilly Jane Guard Station.
There are several buildings.
There is a decent pit toilet. There are at least 20 campsites, although you have to walk a ways to some of them. There is no drinking water, but Tilly Jane Creek, which is reliable year-round, runs right next to the campground.
Driving Directions
This trailhead can be reached by following Highway 35 south of Hood River to signs pointing to the Cooper Spur Ski Resort, then following the bumpy 9-mile Cloud Cap Road from the Cooper Spur ski area. There is a signed junction about a mile before the end. The road to Cloud Cap goes right. The road to Tilly Jane goes left.
